Hello all!
As we’re coming up to the end of the year, I thought I’d give a little update on where I am on the writing front. I haven’t been putting out much over the last couple of years, with the exception of my film writing in Blake Matthew’s excellent Martial Arts Movies Almanac series, which is available on Amazon.
But, I have been writing a lot of other stuff! Being in a very fun and supportive writers group at the Gloucester Writers Center in Gloucester, MA, I’ve been bringing in a variety of short story and novel excerpts (and even some poetry!) every week and getting insightful feedback. My plan is to finish up those and get them out into the world in 2026. I plan on self-publishing another sci-fi/horror short story collection, and I’m going to try for a traditional publishing deal for my nearly completed Ming Dynasty-set historical fiction/sci-fi novel. We’ll see where that ends up. Also in the works are a martial arts short story collection featuring characters from my Dragons and Boxers novel, and a children’s adventure novel that I wrote the first draft of some years ago.
In the near future, on December 6th I have my annual Book and Author Fair in downtown Rockport, MA. I’ll be there with more than 25 local writers peddling their wares, and it should be a fun time. Stop on by if you’re in the area!
